I woke this morning to a wonderful conversation from an Etsy seller alerting me to the fact that she had included some of my beads in a Treasury.

Treasuries are certainly a great way of discovering new artists on Etsy.  The work displayed is always tasteful, often tempting & without doubt totally inspirational.

Treasury for Haiti

I managed to get my timing right this morning, for a change, & grabbed another treasury on Etsy.

The more I look, the more impressed I become at the artists that are still willing to give.

Keeping Haiti in our Hearts

In the course of putting together this treasury I discovered a new blog, which I will post about tomorrow.





New Hearts went up over the weekend, all of them sold overnight. I will update everything tomorrow evening. For now it seems that I am playing a permanent game of catch up..... & enjoying every moment of it :o)

Etsy Treasury

In keeping with the post below, about keeping awareness up, I managed to grab an Etsy Treasury yesterday - two guesses what the focus was.

All of the wonderful Etsy Artists featured in this treasury are either donating a good chunk of each sale to one of the various relief organizations in Haiti - or they have listed specific items which are designated for 100% of the proceeds will go to Haiti.

Lost Treasury

A wee while back I managed to be in the right place ( in front of my computer) at the right time (just as an Etsy Treasury was about to open), & what's more I had what I thought was some pretty awesome choices all ready to go into it.

Fortunately I was quick enough to snag one. Unfortunately I forgot to do my usual screen shot - & that particular treasury contained some of my favorite picks so far! Mind you, I do say that about a lot of them - the poor maille man just saw them all as not so very subtle hints at what I'd like for Christmas (as well he should with the last one!). There were lots of divine lampwork beads, a splash of hand made silver findings & some pretty darn nice semi precious gem stones....it was a positive designers delight.

What a bother that I didn't have a record of my not so subtle hints....or so I thought ;o)

What did I find on the weekend when I decided to put another poster sketch together 'just in case'....

I made darn sure I grabbed a screen shot of that before I changed a thing!

Treasuries

Imagine my surprise upon looking at the Etsy Treasuries to see when it was next going to be open so I could try & snag one, to discover a yellow star next to one! That meant I was freatured in it!! YaY! Such a pity that it was only a few minutes away from closing when I realised - but I quickly commented & clicked anyway.

"Shrinking the World" - Treasury for You

OK - Blame the title on Ang.....no, on second thought, congratulate her for it.
This is one way of making the world seem not quite so large & all of the wonderful friends I have made online seem not quite so distant.
It also makes the selfish side of me also feel not quite so isoalted ;o)

I have to admit there is one piece of non-glasy goodness in there. I discovered this the other day & have been mopping down my monitor ever since!! Take a look at Maiaart's Tutankhamun with Scarab Pyrographed Gourd!!
