There has been a lot happening for Sophie, since she arrived back from the Paralympics & I could pretty much fill a month of posts with her!
But there is a special reason I am posting this picture - it also features her beautiful sister Rebecca & it's just so darn nice to see them together!

The Attitude Awards are a new initiative developed to honour the outstanding achievements of New Zealanders living with disabilities.

Other Attitude Award category winners announced on December 3, World Disability Day, were Samuel Gibson (Enterprise Award), Kerri Bonner (Youth Award), Mike and Lyn Ryan (Community Award), Charlotte Cleverley-Bisman (Spirit Award), 4Dice Business Group (ACC Employer Award), Cameron Leslie (Sportsman Award) and Sophie Pascoe (Sportswoman Award).

Such lovely young women, Deb! I think that award was tailormade for Sophie...she has such an incredible positive attitude. Actually, saying that almost sounds like it takes something away from Sophie's attitude. To me, it seems she lives life fully, and her disability is just a circumstance that happened. . .it isn't the focus of what she does. Does that make any sense? Sophie, you are a person to be admired!

How great! I let Doug read this..he was proud of her! I pointed out that just cause he doesnt have all God gave him any more, it should never let anything stop him, no matter what the challenge, physical emotional or mentally! She sounds like a beautiful young lady! You should be proud! BY the way...you table looks so much like my own right now after a day of making soap! I should take a pic next time before I clean up...messiness is a sign of genious right???!!!! ;-)
